Surfer's Paradise Beach

Surfer's Paradise Beach

Welcome to Australia’s best beach, the three kilometre strip of sun drenched golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia’s most iconic beach. Surfers Paradise Beach is one of Australia’s most photographed picture perfect locations. This beach conjures up a postcard paradise to millions.

Throughout the year, Surfers Paradise Beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, volleyballers, sun bakers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World.

Surfers Paradise city is fronted to the east by the Surfers Paradise Foreshore, a rejuvenated public space that fronts Surfers Paradise Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The Surfers Paradise Foreshore Redevelopment project features contemporary coastal streetscaping that incorporates existing trees and vegetation, including about 95 Pandanus trees. The Gold Coast City Council’s Surfers Paradise Foreshore Redevelopment was completed in early April, months ahead of the target completion date of June 2011.

The $25 million rejuvenation covers the area of foreshore from Laycock Street to ViewAvenue, with the exception of the area in front of the Soul development. This area of works is being funded and carried out by the development’s owner, Juniper. The master planned beachfront hosts a full calendar of free public events such as the Surfers Paradise Festival and the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships.
