Kilima Camp offers unrivaled views across the Masai Mara and the River Mara and its exclusive position provides a natural degree of privacy. Kilima Camp is located in Kenya on the western border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Kilima Camp has been built on a private concession bordering the current boundary, the official perimeter of the Mara Triangle Wilderness Area (one of the tree contiguous administrative areas forming what is known as the Masai Mara National Reserve also called the Masai Mara). Kilima means "mountain or little hill in Swahili". Kilima Camp is situated on the edge of the Siria escarpment (also called Oloololo escarpment) at 1,800 metres above sea level, overlooking the Mara River The Mara River and the Masai Mara plains are at an altitude of 1,500 metres. Hence Kilima Camp has a fantastic and phenomenal view over the Masai Mara plains and the river Mara, truly “the Gods’ window” Kilima Camp offers unrivaled aerial views across the Masai Mara and the river Mara, allowing guests to appreciate the enormity of their surroundings. Kilima Camp's exclusive position provides a natural degree of privacy. With the entrance to the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Mara Triangle (Oloololo Gate) and local airstrip (Kichwa Tembo) just a fifteen minute drive away, Kilima Camp is not only easy to reach but also the perfect base from which to explore the Masai Mara plains and its wildlife

Room

Kilima Camp is a luxurious private safari tented camp. Kilima Camp is an eco-friendly safari camp but it does not mean a compromise in comfort. Kilima Camp consists of 12 classic safari tents and three Deluxe Tents (which ca sleep up to 5 persons) . All tents at Kilima Camp benefit from a stunning view over the Masai Mara plains (Maasai Mara plains) and Mara river.

Deluxe Tents

Deluxe tents are even more comfortable and bigger than our standard tend. They can sleep up to 5 persons (3 adults and 2 children). They is a large wooden deck from which our guest can relax and admire our amazing view. The bathrooms are fitted with flush toilets, running hot and cold water and running hot shower. Total size of our Deluxe is 77 to 88m². The understated elegance and luxury of each safari tent provides guests with a comfortable and relaxing environment in which to unwind after an adventurous day on safari.

Classic Tents

Classic Safari Tents are spacious and can accommodate a maximum of 3 guests (2 adults and one child aged up to 16 years or three 3 Adults) comfortably. The Classic Safari Tents have wooden floors, running hot showers, more light in the bathroom with is concreted with Galana Stones, with awesome views from the veranda overlooking the Mara River and Mara plains. Two of the Classic tents can be ideal for families who have children sleeping on their own as the tents are adjacent to each other sharing one pathway..

Dining

There is a spacious, central tent that has been divided into two restaurants, bar lounge, and library making it a great focal point for drinks, meals and relaxation.Lunch is usually served a la carte, and dinner offers guests the opportunity to enjoy African specialities as well as more classic dishes. When a special event requires, spit roasted goat or lamb is prepared by the Maasai on a wood fire and accompanied by a selection of vegetables and chapati bread. Drinks can be taken alongside the campfire or around the bush bar.

Kilima offers guests the chance to indulge in a selection of classical or Maasai spa treatments – from massages to facials – whilst looking out onto the scenic splendour of the Masai Mara.With champagne in hand, guests will be hard pressed to find a better way to unwind.

SPA

Kilima Camp Spa has massage/treatment rooms. Services include massages, facials, body wraps, and body scrubs. The spa is equipped with a spa tub. A variety of treatment therapies are provided, including aromatherapy and reflexology.

Game Watch

Game watch and game viewing, whether by car or on foot, is superb all year round.On board of one of our specially designed and equipped 4x4 safari vehicles, you will explore the wilderness of the Masai Mara and its African wildlife.Oloololo Gate, the entrance to the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Mara Triangle is at the foot of the Siria (olso called Oloololo escarpment) and is just a twenty minute drive away from the camp. Kilima Camp is the perfect base from which to start your safari game drive and explore the Masai Mara plains and its African wildlife.

Kilima Safari Camp is located in the area of Amboseli National Park, next to the Kimana Gate Park entrance. The camp is set out on a 420 acre site with spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
