Overview

Breathtakingly suspended 230 feet above and 450 accross Capilano River,Capilano Suspension Bridge takes you to towering evergreens, serene trails and the award winning attraction, Treetops Adventure. Seven suspension bridges, some reaching as high as 100 feet, take you high above the forest floor for a thrilling encounter within the heart of the forest. The Cliffwalk is a heart- stopping 700 foot (215m) long walkway taking guests along the granite cliffside of Capilano Canyon on a series of bridge, platforms and stairways cantilevered up to 30 storeys above Capilano River. Guided eco-walks, a First Nations cultural experience and voices from the past at the Story Centre mingle with the sounds of live seasonal musical entertainment. Unmatched shopping at the Trading Post and West Coast cuisine round out this entertaining West Coast experience. This excursion is a Signature Experience with Destination Canada.

Location/DirectionsBy car: The Capilano Suspension Bridge is conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown Vancouver through Stanley Park, over the Lions Gate Bridge and north 1.6 km on Capilano Road. From the Trans-Canada Highway, heading west, take the Capilano Road exit #14 and travel north 800m.

By public transit: Depart from Waterfront Station Vancouver on the Seabus heading Northbound to Lonsdale Quay Seabus Station. Transfer to bus #236 "Grouse Mountain" located at Bay 8. Take this bus to the Capilano Suspension Bridge (3735 Capilano Road). Transit time is approximately 30 minutes. A free year-round shuttle operates from downtown Vancouver. Peak season May to September, 10 to 15 minute frequency and off season October to April, departures every 30 minutes.
