MV Atlantic VisionThe MV Atlantic Vision joined the fleet in 2009, and has recently added the North Sydney – Argentia seasonal route to her duties, in addition to serving the Gulf run. From the vibrant wall murals and cozy Riva Café, to the family-friendly Barista Café and panoramic viewing deck, this vessel offers something for everyone. The Name: Marine Atlantic proudly named this vessel after the regiment that represented Newfoundland in the Great War. They quickly earned a reputation as a fierce fighting unit and were part of the tragic advance at Beaumont-Hamel on July 1, 1916. The Newfoundland soldiers’ courage and sacrifice on that day will never be forgotten. MV HighlandersThe MV Highlanders joined the fleet in 2011, along with her sister ship, the MV Blue Puttees. At almost 200m in length, this vessel features comfortable seating areas, spacious cabins and three dining options – the Riva Café, the MET Restaurant and the Barista Café. This vessel helped increase our capacity by 25 per cent, and was designed to make your journey a relaxing one. The Name: The MV Highlanders was named in recognition of the distinguished military service of the Highland regiments throughout Nova Scotia - now made up of the Nova Scotia Highlanders and the Cape Breton Highlanders. The men and women of these two units continue to provide humanitarian assistance and peacekeeping services that are recognized throughout the world. MV Leif EricsonThe MV Leif Ericson is our dedicated commercial ferry travelling the North Sydney - Port aux Basques route.
