Nestled within the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains, Lake Crescent boasts pristine waters enclosed inside a deep, glacially carved lake that makes it an ideal destination for those on a quest for natural beauty.
Isolated by a massive landslide thousands of years ago, the Lake today has 2 uniquely adapted populations of the Beardslee and Crescenti trout. A number of hiking trails are available within the lake region, with some climbing into the surrounding mountains, while others explore the lowland forests and creeks. There’s the Spruce Railroad Trail with its nice flat trail that skirts the northern side of the lake. Another favorite is the hike to Marymere Falls via the Barnes Creek trail. Lake Crescent boasts clear clean waters that make it a wonderful destination for canoeing, sailing or simply sitting by the shore to take in the wondrous nature during a holiday to Washington State. Services available around Lake Crescent include a seafood restaurant and boat rentals.
