Overview

Opened in June 2014, Banff’s new Via Ferrata excursion is a different kind of mountaineering experience. Led by a certified guide, climbers make their way up the cliffs above the Banff Mt. Norquay ski area, guided by a series of cables, fixed anchors, ladders and a suspension bridge. Highlights include an open air chairlift ride, climbing 2 pitches, viewing boardwalk and sightseeing platform. No climbing experience is necessary. Equipment orientation, safety equipment and helmet are included. This excursion is a Signature Experience with Destination Canada. Minimum age 12 Minimum weight 35 kg (80 lb); maximum weight 110 kg (250 lb)
