Waldorf Astoria sits at the top of the pyramid in the Hilton group’s portfolio of brands for luxury, decadence, service and style. Hilton Hotels have signed an agreement to manage a brand new resort in the Maldives in the South Male Atol, close to the International Airport. Transfers will be by speedboat and should take less than 20 minutes which means that this resort will appeal to those customers wanting a super luxury Maldives holiday but nervous about flying in a sea plane or having to wait a few hours to get to one of the more premium resorts!

The exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, but the hotel is expected to open at some point during May or June 2019.

This resort is targeted at those looking for an ostentatious holiday in the Maldives. The entry level beach villas are 1,205 sq ft which is more than double the size of an average two bedroom flat in London! All 138 guest villas have their own private pool and jacuzzi and will be served by a dedicated butler. The resort will offer a choice of 10 dining venues each with its own unique menu featuring different international cuisines.

This resort is certainly not going to be a budget Maldives Holiday. What customers can expect however is an unforgettable experience at what is set to become a truly iconic Maldivian hotel.
