Shotover River Heli-Rafting

A helicopter ride will add to the rush of Shotover Rafting on this half day excursion. Renowned as the ultimate White Water Rafting experience, this tour will take you on a wild adventure through the tumbling rapids of the magnificent Shotover River. 

After a short briefing, travel to the heli-pad to board what will be an unforgettable helicopter ride into the rugged Skippers Canyon.

After a comprehensive safety briefing and a lesson on paddling techniques you set off on the tranquil waters of the upper canyon to familiarize yourself with the river and take in the breathtaking scenery through the canyon.

As you progress down the river the adventure really begins!  You will tackle 10 white water rapids including the Toilet, Pinball, Jaws, Sequel, Miners Revenge and then raft through the eerie darkness of the 170m Oxenbridge tunnel before shooting the Cascade Rapid to complete the challenge.
