Overview

Spend 8 nights starting from Cochin through to Munnar to Alleppey and Kovalam. Start your tour in Cochin with a spectacular show of Kerala classical dance in the evening, a cooking demo with lunch the next day plus a sightseeing tour of Cochin. Proceed to Munnar and learn about the century-old tea plantations before embarking on your Houseboat on day 5 cruising along the tranquil backwaters. After a few days of exploring Kerala, head over to Kovalam for a beach stay and enjoy the rest of your holiday at leisure before returning home.

On arrival, you will be met and assisted by our local rep and transferred to your hotel.

Heralded as the Queen of Arabian Sea, Kochi was an important spice trading centre on the Arabian Sea coast since the 14th century and was the site of the first European colonial settlement in India and remained until 1530.

Check-in at your hotel opens at 2pm and you will be free after check-in until the evening where you will enjoy a spectacular show of Kerala classical dance.

In the afternoon after lunch, proceed for sightseeing of Cochin with a visit to Mattancherry Dutch Palace (closed on Friday and National Holidays) built by the Portuguese. Visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European Church in India. View the Chinese Fishing Nets, unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries old Chinese influence on this coast. Visit Jew Town and the Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday afternoon, Saturday's and all Jewish Holidays).

Visit the Mattupetty Dam: The beautiful hill station of Mattupetty is a 13km drive away from Munnar. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam is en-route to Top Station and is situated at an altitude of 1700m. Enjoy the panoramic view of the dam surrounded by wooden hills and tea plantations.
